Last day in Bangkok!
I had been to most of the legends and tourist spots here, except for riding the elephants. Dad had recommended me the beach, but after looking up for the guide on how to get there, I gave up this far and expensive option. At last I picked the China Point as my main destination of the day, and set off with another outfit of vest and shorts. My shoulders had been charred black by the sun since touring around the South East Asia, and they were now in a dark coal color... it didn't hurt, but was really unfamiliar.
The sun still hung high above my head, toasting me and my skin. Even though it's my last day here, the weather in Bangkok still won't let me off one single second of its torture.
My GPS signal kept losing so I had no choice but to follow the instinct and move in the rough direction, and sometimes I just had to ask the locals for help. Once there was this really enthusiastic middle aged Thai who got really worked up and offered me to take me to my destination. I chatted with him for a while, about their customs, some bizzared incidents I had encountered along the way and moved on.
I decided to follow my instinct again and went forward, I knew I had the right direction at heart after signs written in familiar mandarin started popping into sight. It was crowded, hot and really crazy in there, more like a total nightmare than some shopping district.
(The beverages here came in really cheap price, 15 NT for a bottle of 1.5L coke for example)。 I would be getting up at six heading out for my 8 o'clock ride to Cambodia tomorrow morning, hope that everything goes out smoothly.
PS. Chiangmai is now in the top 1 place at heart, leaving Kuala Lumpur in the last place. Good luck to you all, the rest of the countries, cities on this trip.
