It's time to explore jonker street.
I hurried out to the streets before the sun got crazily unbearable and visited the famous Dutch house plus the red church. Jonker street isn't really a very long to walk about, but its length seemed to increase bit by bit after walking for several times. There were booths selling durian ice cream and durian puffs along the way, but they didn't really seem to fit my appetite.
There were also many tourists and backpackers strolling around, with looks of impatience on their faces for the heat was really a pain to the skin.
The famous shops of Jonker street would be including the ones that crafted needle shoes and one that sold chicken rice ball. The shoes were delicate, but pretty expensive. As for the rice balls, I bought a small bag and they tasted like...rice balls with a bit of chicken flavor XD. It's just crazy to walk around Melacca in the middle of the day wearing shorts and a single vest, I could feel myself burning and getting a free tan.
I had some tom yum noodle soup for lunch, and finally came across GIANT supermarket for some juice and a big bottle of 100+ sports drink. The supermarket was very far from the place I had been staying, and it's pretty lucky that I located it before dying of thirst.
And by the time I returned to my room, it's a shock that the whole room had been cleaned and rearranged! So much for my bags and cloths that were spreading everywhere on the floor. Well they were now folded and placed tidily on the table...
I went out again when the sun was smaller in the noon and took some photos around, and there was this Malaysian woman who asked me about how she could get to the Melaka Sentral! She was in luck, that's where I came from yesterday.
Good luck on my walk to the Sentral tomorrow, it's going to be an early wake and tight schedule.
