Siam is like the city center of Bangkok, and it's about two stations away from where I was staying with a bit extra distance.
I decided to pay it a visit in the afternoon, while wandering around the streets in the morning. I first came across the famous Chulalongong University, and since it was Sunday, there weren't many students in the campus. But comparing their college to ours, it was more like a junior high in our standard, no offense.

The Siam area could be divided into two big parts, one that was in the North and another in the East, with the BTS railway cutting them into half. As for the Southern area, there was a Siam Sqaure just like our night market street in Taichung, with many shopping malls and delicate jewel stores. The shops in the North were much more friendly and goods came in a cheaper price.
Bangkok had been raining cats and dogs for the past two days, and the same had happened in the afternoon, so I dodged into one of the malls for shelter.

Right in the center of the mall, there held a big stage and students were performing on stage with instruments, I hang back and watched a few of the performances, gave out rounding applause until the rain came to a stop outside.
I left the mall, which was located in the South side of Siam and headed North, entering a total different region. Most of the street sides were covered in canvases, and shops lay beneath them. Pedestrians hurried through the dark, humid paths, since the canvas prevented sunlight from coming in. The booths were selling all kinds of stuff: scorpions, fried cockroaches and so many more. I was also starting to see queer sights such as men who only had the underwear on, and were wandering around; there were also people with very heavy makeup on their faces, no matter what gender... it's like a totally different world compared to the South side of Siam.
My GPS lost connection in this region, so I just strolled around, eventually I made my way out of the dense canvas booths and discovered the Chit Lom right in front of me! It was supposed to be my main tour spot tomorrow, but I guessed I would have to go with it...
I took some pictures of the Chit Lom, there were so many Thai praying to the Chit Lom and kneeling down before it. I prayed a few times to the Budha and set off toward the Big C shopping Mall just across the street. Big C was just like Tesco, but much more friendly and local, some merchandises even came in cheaper prices!
I bought some food for the night and more fresh juice that made my day just pleasant. I love juice and how cheap they were in Thailand! I discovered a picture of carrot and cabbage just on the bottle of the kiwi juice I bought yesterday, right in the corner... that explained the weird taste...
