7/16 Pretending to be a Thai

The second day in the now-number-one-city-so-far Chiang Mai. Since I had visited most of the west side of the old city, the main purpose of the day would be to explore the rest regions of the majestic walls.

I discovered that most of the Thai love pigeons, many of the pedestrians often feed what they have in hands to the pigeons that were resting in the streets. And that most of the Thai dislike the feeling of helmets on their heads, for they don't wear mortorbike helmets when they were riding, and I found it pretty dangerous myself: a small accident could have taken your life!

There were even this guy on motorcycle who were eating fruits while riding, and this another guy who was eating the instant noodles with both hands! None to steer the bike...

After walking around the rear of the city for a bit, I found my way into a small park where many of the people relaxed on the grass, play badminton around or just chat happily. There was this cool sport involving four people trying to kick a small ball in the basket hang above on the electric pole, it required a lot of skill and was very interesting to watch.

There was also this Medical University of the local that I found by the side, and sneak in. The students in there wore uniforms and didn't look a bit like our college students. They seemed extremely juvenile with the uniform on looking just like high school students. Most of them were doing research and homework on the tables, but some looked up eyeing me curiously.

Eventually I reached the back of the school and saw many people running around in the field playing soccer, it reminded me of the good old soccer times I had back in Taiwan, so I hang around watching and cheering until one of the team scored.

As for dinner, I had a small box of grilled sausages that I bought in the bazaar just outside the city called the Phae Gate, it tasted pretty good. I also bought some of the chocolate milk for beverage, but depending on the rumbling coming from my stomach some time later, I guessed that sausages and chocolate milk weren't supposed to be mixed together.
