It’s the first day of August and we were
planning on going to the McallyPoint, also known as Australia’s Cape of Good
Hope, where we can see both the Bridge and the Opera Houe at the same time.
We left early without eating breakfast
beforehand, just some cookies and a bottle of water in the bag. There was this
Saint Mary Cathedral which was absolutely gorgeous but charged people money for
taking pictures. We crossed Hyde Park and entered the Domain which was covered
by endless green grass. Roxie and I traveled across the lawn on shortcuts
rather than the main passage of the Royal Garden, we made it to the South Wales
Art Museum at noon, which was full of paintings and aboriginal art. However, we
didn’t get the time to finish all the exhibition for it was about 5 stories
high, both of us ate some cookies and continued on our trip.

There were many shortcuts to take, following
by many beautiful villas lining on the street side. You could see the sea waves
splashing the rocks on the side, we kept the speed and made it to the Point in
an hour and a half.
We were really capable of seeing both the
bridge and the opera house at the same time! Many people surrounded the point
and lots of tourists come and go, there were even groups of students sing choir
on the lawn…
We took several pictures when the sun was
ready to go down, some were quite creative I must say.
(My jump)
I leapt from a piece of thin wall, which was aligned with the sea water, I
shuddered the moment I tried standing up on top of it. It was really dangerous
for the sea was just behind me.
After all the tour around the attraction,
the day was getting dark and people were boarding their cars and tour buses
ready to head back to the CBD. As for the both of us, it would be a long walk
back. We went hand in hand and chatted along the way, feeling exhausted the
time we finally had our hostel in sight. It’s our fourth time to Dragon’s Boy for
meal, for it was cheap and rich in quantity. I ordered some curry rice, a fried
veggie ball and one of the tempura. Roxie followed my lead and had a small bowl
of Udon plus some soft shell crabs. Both of us were feeling happy and satisfied
after the meal, I couldn’t help but say: money well spent!
