It’s a morning beach time scheduled for the day, digging up sand for castles or got splashed by waves. As we were working hard on our sand dinosaur, a huge wave went in so deep inland that drowned our bags. My bag was full of water and sand, my Ipod and Roxie’s phone were both in refuge. We hurried back to our room trying to blow them dry and got rid of the sand.
My Ipod was fine, just a little bit more
sensitive than usual, but Roxie’s phone had been beeping loudly ever since
soaked by the sea water…
After taking care of our injured
electronics, we took the bus heading for the Pacifi Broadway Fair, it was
supposed to be fun but to our disappointment, everything was pretty down to
earth. We were forced to take another bus back to Surfers Paradise to transfer
to the other famous fair: Southport Australia. It’s a shame that we lingered
past the initial stop that we intended to go and traveled to Paradise Point’s
Runaway Waters. (about 40 minutes per bus)
Lucky for Runaway Waters to provide an elegant little park for the tourist and
we hang out at the playground until our ride came. The park was just by the
ocean side, and Roxie found a blue crab by accident : )
We missed the first bus that was supposed to
take us back to Southport while playing with the crab, the second bus came and
brought us there. The day was already dark after all the elapsed time,
Southport Fair had already closed.
Maybe we could come back tomorrow?

Since this would be the last few nights here
in Gold Coast/Surfers Paradise, we decided to go to a nice restaurant and have
a decent meal. Roxie and I shared three small roasted steak burgers and a set
of Rump Steak N Bug. (Bug means a kind of lobster originated in Australia)
We were lucky to came across a long night
market on our way home, there were people doing drawings and hand waxing. I
even bought an attacking boomerang for my dad, hope he like it : )
(it was made of hardwood, unlike the cheap
ones in some of the stores.)
We borrowed some DVDs of Mr. Bean for the last time, for we would be checking
out tomorrow and going to the airport.
