8/17 Freezing cold night

Chateau said goodbye to us in the morning, and thanks to their luggage keeping service, we were able to have some decent breakfast luggage-free.

Roxie had a full plate of Scandinavian Traditional Breakfast, I was feeling not too well to consume any.

(道地的SCANDINAVIAN BREAKFAST)
Our last time in the Central of Surfers Paradise, we even made it to the Southport Fair one last time. Roxie and I shared a cup of Australian special-Boost Smoothie, for it would be our last chance to have such drink.

I’m sure that we’re going to miss all those people and stores that we visited often, with easy-going prices and great services.

I had my lunch at Hungry Jack’s with a big Cheese large meal and a single whooper, I’m going to miss it too…

Since we were taking an early flight the next morning, we decided to head for the airport today and stayed there overnight, just to be safe. We took a cab there and it was about a two-hour drive, that’s just how far it was!

(天看起來還是很亮---是路燈,其實已經凌晨2點了)
The trolleys at the airport required a fee that’s neither expensive nor cheap, I was ready to take my wallet out when I caught sight of two abandoned trolleys at the rear. Lucky for us!

Gold Coast Airport closed at 10 at night and we were told to leave…

We found a spot where people usually wait for bus and secured us at the waiting benches. Since the airport would only re-open at 4 in the morning, I guessed that’s where we’re going to stay overnight. It was a freezing cold night with the wind blowing hard, Roxie curled up on the bench and tried to sleep. I tried my best to stay awake and keep us safe XD

Fortunately I could still receive the signal of wifi from the airport and that kept me company. Eventually I even got up and jog around the bus stop just to shiver away the cold. It felt like centuries and my eyes got sore, thank god the door finally opened.

The following procedure of boarding went pretty smooth, except that Roxie’s bag weighed 18 kilos, 8 kilos over the exceeding limit. She had no choice but to pay a 200 AUD extra. Expensive!
