8/18 ~19 Return with Drums beating and Flying Banners

The date is August 18th and we were at Singapore ChangI airport. We fed our stomach with delicious laksa as soon as we got off the plane, very delicious. I had laksa twice in Melbourne, once in Sydney(Thai) and a Japanese flavored in Brisbane. This time at the airport did I finally had the real taste of laksa, hot and spicy, with the real “noodles” and loads of seafood. I might have cried a little due to the satisfaction.

Roxie had three small bowls of foreign cuisine, one was odd and the other one delicious, as for the last one: extremely spicy!

The trip to Australia was officially coming to an end and I’ve spent most of the budget. Though we were pretty “selfish” on the money spent on travelling and food, all the kinds of souvenir and tickets had sucked us dry: three packs of delicious Tim Tam, two boomerangs, a mug and a big didgeridoo.

The 45 days in Australia, we tried to mingle with the native and the crowd, speaking English from time to time. We had encountered problems and met obstacles, but seemed to have survived everything. Looking back, I couldn’t be more proud. Though I must say that I’m surely going to miss Australia and all its cities, but on the other hand, I felt pretty relieved and glad to have the whole trip at a perfect period.

From Taiwan to Singapore, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney then to Brisbane and finally Gold Coast, Singapore and Taiwan. It’s a trip of Rounding Around Australia. So many times of transferring, taking vehicles and booking for tickets and rooms, both Roxie and I felt that we had grown up a little.

And now it’s time to say goodbye to our good host

Australia, and Taiwan, here we come!
