8/10 Let’s go to the Beach!

Today’s our second to last day in Brisbane and we were heading to the beach! It’s not like Brisbane City was full of enough tourist spots to travel around for a whole week. So after finishing all the visits to the famous places, we decided to see our old friend Southern City Beach for the second and last time.

Breakfast was at pie face, it was basically the local PIE shop here in Australia but I had never gotten my tongue on one. I ordered a Bacon, Cheese and Egg pie and it tasted amazing, creamy and warm. Roxie on the other hand had an expensive sandwich but was just fine.

We took Victoria Bridge to the Southern Brisbane and found ourselves under the gigantic Wheel of Brisbane, it’s actually a Merry Go Around HAHA. Then we turned left and kept walking until the beach was in sight. The sun felt hot on our backs and the sand was reflecting every bit of it into our eyes. However by the time I took off my T-shirt and hopped into the water, it’s like YAOZA! The water felt icy cold…

Roxie and I held hand in hand and went further into the freezing water until the level arrived at my waist. How strange was it to feel so much heat on the upper body only to be covered in ice on the lower part.

There were these two idiotic kids who started throwing sand at us without any reason. I just grabbed the two of them and threw them into the icy water. That sent them crying to the lifeguard who care not a thing about their pleas for those two boys were known for their naughty behavior on the beach. Roxie and I came on to the sand for we had enough of the cold water, we built castle and dug a big hole. I even managed to merge some of the sand into a mermaid tail!

Though we hadn’t been to Gold Coast to feel the “best beach and sand in the world”, this city beach here in Brisbane had already blown us away and I believed it was a much different experience than the ones located next to the sea.

Roxie had some Australian yogurt when we got back to the CBD, as for dinner, Dragon Boy the same HAHA. It’s a thrill that we will be traveling to Gold Coast really really soon!
