Finally got our group interview spot for the long term Germany visa this morning and I was really thrilled. Finally, no need to worry about not having the reservation.
In the morning, after some chocolate chip cookies, I left for the Mercedes Museum which was about an hour walk away. But by the time I got there, it was tightly closed for I had totally forgot that museums in Germany tempt not to open during Mondays. And I had no choice but to take the same route back to the city due to my own mistake.
I decided to find myself a skateboard after seeing so many guys and gals shooshing pass me on their boards. I had planned to skateboard to school in the future, for it would be much faster than walking and cheaper than the bike.
So I looked through most of the sportshop in the city center and finally located one to my liking. It's called Titus and they have all kinds of skateboards, long board, rugular, small plastic ones. I picked an ordinary one and tested it, it's pretty smooth and I stepped on to it once outside the store.

I had learnt to skateboard in highschool, taught by a couple of friends. I knew how to skate and turn, though acquired none of the tricks or cool techniques. It's been years since I last stood on one of the boards so it really took me a while to find my balance back, though I guessed it would be taking more than just a few days of practice.
I went through the roads but dare not venture down any slopes or admist the crowd, that would be pretty dangerous for a rookie like me, for I am pretty much like a toddler in this field at the moment, though I was pretty confident that I could be back in my feet within a few weeks. Yeah, weeks, yikes.
I took a rest back at the hostel and skated out with my room key, phone and some money. I entered the suburbs and was glad that I could enjoy the view in this way, and it was much more convenient. On my way home I met a couple of kids who were also on their boards and showing superb skills and tricks. i followed behind them and we went into a skating park where people of all sort are doing tricks on rails, ramps. I sat and watched, for I knew none of the cool stuff, yet.
To my surprise, one of the kids offered to teach me some tricks and he started explaining the basic of ollie, to jump with the board. It was hard for me, though it was the basic but I still tried my best to keep up. At last my small friend had to go home for dinner and he made me promise that I will keep practicing in the future, thanks for the free teaching my friend.
It's been a reallh cool day skateboarding in Stuttgart and I believed that I had made the right choice.
