7/16 Mutual Exploration

Ulrich and the guys left early for Berlin after waving me goodbye, leaving me and the cool dude above my bunk alone in the cell.

The sleep was ok last night, it's just that we were located right by the train station so all we received from the railways was the rumbling sound of trains passing through.

A dude came in the room saying that he was transferred from another one since he asked for a nonsmoking one. He's Paulo from Austria and he retired himself to the bed after a brief chat.

I left the hotel and got myself a decent meat pie by the bakery, it was warm and tasty, just too good for such a cold windy morning in Karlsruhe.

A blonde girl followed me back from the entrance of the hotel and entered my room after me. She said that her name is Isabella and we can call her Isabel if we want, she is from Czech and she had an early check in. We welcomed her to our dorm, Paulo being really warm and enthusiastic especially. The cool dude said nothing. I could tell that Isabel wasn't really impressed by Paulo for he kept making inappropriate jokes. However, both of them asked to come with me to wander around Karlsruhe for the day, well I think Isabel is, for Paulo was basically here just for the company of our girl friend.

We visited the Karlsruhe University of Applied Science, it wasn't big but was pretty and comfortable to roam around. We rested a bit and chatted in the big garden just next door; I also checked out my new apartment in the future, which wasn't big, but was nicely cramped with facilities.

We just walked freely and take the roads to our likings. In the meanwhile, Isabel always stayed at my right side while Paulo on my left, I could sense a deep reluctant that Isabella would never want Paulo by her side and gibbering all the rubbish haha. On the other hand, I thought that it was pretty awesome to have Paulo in our company, for he kept the atmosphere running and he's always up for another stupid joke. Yes he might be a little bit annoying but I thought it was better to walk in silence.

Dinner was at Rewe supermarket, to my suggestion, and Isabel bought us some nice sausages, cheese, dipping and salad through the fresh food window with her fluent Deutsch.

We enjoyed the meal and it was already evening by the time we returned.

We chatted and took some selfies, played with one another phones before tidying ourselves and went back to our own bunks.

I was in the mid of trying to go to sleep when our door was bammed open rudely, two huge European dude just trod in with heavy footsteps, heavy stench and started talking loudly. They even switched on thw light and left it there while they continued to laugh and talk loudly in the two free beds.

Dudes! There are people sleeping here, show some respect! And that's when thw cool dude above me came flying down the bunk, he started yelling at the big bears in German, and they went on quarreling with such heat for a long time until one if the bears pointed at the door and three of them got out.

Isabel, Paulo and I gathered around to discuss whether the cool dude will be beaten out of shape, but the guy came back real soon, grabbed all his stuff and left. My guess was that he talked to the reception and got transferred to another room.

Eventually the bears git back but they were much quieter this time. We slept and I really had trouble falling asleep to all the snoring and trains rumbling.

I was half asleep when someone grabbed me by the arm and I turned only to see Isabella by my bed. She kind of whimpered and called my name saying that the bear kept edging toward her in bed (her bed and one of the bears' were side by side, not the up and down kind of bunks) she asked me whether I could switch my place with her and that's when it hit me that she could sleep on top of my bunk, for the cool dude had already left. I happily accepted the offer and all was well and everyone resolved to the night.
