Today's Sunday, and when it comes to Sunday in Germany, 90% of the shops stay closed, which includes all the supermarkets, convenience stores and restaurants. I supposed it's going to be a pretty boring day for there weren't many pedestrians to be seen and the vehicles were obviously much lesser than the regular days.
And as I entered the city center, it really looked like a ghost town. I checked out the surrounding and did some window shopping, and that's when I heard some noise and laughter coming from a corner at front. I hurried to the corner and saw a big banner that says Kinder Festival, which really meant children's day and there were all kind of booths for food, and activities going around.
I stayed and watched most of thw events for children. There were rock climbing, soccer, football, cricket, cooking classes, toys, trampolines and all sort of stuff and I could see that all if the families were having the best time of their life.
I spent all of my afternoon to the evening in the Festival, which covered two big plazas and booth after booth. I was pretty happy to be around so many joyful kids and all of them seemed to be having a great time.
I was really thirsty after the walk and the only thing in the city center that sells drink was Mc Donald's. I'm really not in the mood of having some fast food and french fries for I was so thirsty that my lips were turning chapped. However, it was the only choice I have. I waited in line fir about half an hour ans finally got my Mc Rib in meal. The burger wasn't especially big but I was already full when I gulped two third of the burger, guessed my appetite had gotten smaller.
wink emotic
And the cup of coke was even smaller than the ones back in Taiwan and I was really disappointed, for I was feeling much more thirsty than hungry at the moment.
