7/15 Karlsruhe

With upbeat and pleasant attitude, I left Hotel Leonardo and marched toward Heidelberg Hauptbahnstadt. The structure of the train station was a bit odd, though not big, it still took me some time to find the right gleis(platform)

Heidelberg to Karlsruhe was a straight on train, so there was no need to worry once hopped on the ride, just sit back and relax until the train comes to a fully stop.

It was only about an hour before we arrived at Karlsruhe, and I was quite nervous about seeing my future home for the first sight.

It was... ok. Haha. A city that's fair looking, but not to modern like the big cities. It seemed like Karlsruhe and I pretty much will hit off in the future.

The hotel that I booked earlier was called A&O, it's half hotel and half backpacker hostel, I booked a spot in the mix dorm and was ready to find out if it was to my liking.

The hotel was at a nice location, you see it right after you come out of the main entrance of the station.

My room was at 615, and it consisted 6 bunkbeds, a little bit too messy and dirty for living. And it seemed like five other burly guys had taken the rest of the spots, though they were nowhere to be seen.

I got out of the room and quickly covered the streets of Karlsruhe, people were sitting in chairs drinking and chatting during the lovely afternoon, I grabbed a bite at a nearby food stand, checked the perimeter and roamed thw city until it's evening.

All of my roommates had gotten back by the time I returned, and they were all pretty enthusiastic, except for the guy skeeping above me.

The guy next to me introduced himself as Ulrich, and there was his friend Benji above him. The other two guys were from Switzerland, and they were called Predaq and Mollo. We chatted for a while and went out for dinner, without the cool anonymous dude above my bunk. We went through local stands instead of walking into a decent restaurant, I had a hotdog bun and some local Metzo beverage.

Night fun time is consisted of certain bridge poker plays and everyone was having a blast, except for the guy above me listening to his own music.

Eventually Predaq dropped to his bed and started snoring out loud. His friends hurried to fool around with him with toothpaste, sprayer shave. 

It was a pretty cool night except for the messy room and the lack of private space, the bathroom is also shared by the six of us, the two German guys(Ulrich and Benji even showered together and kept screaming inside XD
