Frankfurt is still bright as hell at 7pm, and the sun is up at about 4 to 5 in the morning. I got up, shouldered my bag and headed toward the bakery next door at about 8. I bought some bread and sat myself right beside a blonde girl. She had those glasses on and was reading a book, she looked up and smiled slightly when I pulled the chair by her side. She said hallo, and I said Guten tag nervously. I am just like a toddler learning how to walk when it comes to German speaking, and thanked god we chatted in English.
I tried to include some basic sentences like Ich komme aus Taiwan, danke schon in the conversation, she always laughs when I tried my best to pronounce the words in Deutsch. Awkward haha.
I also looked up and booked my residence in Heidelberg which was called Leonardo Hotel and costs about 1900nt per night. Hostels were super expensive in Heidelberg, about 1800 per night. And that's why I chose this hotel rather than the backpacker inn. Why not be all comfy if it only has a 100nt difference?
I set off toward the skyline plaza, it was basically a colorful shopping mall which later I had lunch in one of the fish restaurants called nord see. I even got myself a woolen hat that costs sieben neunundneunzig, I was a little bit proud to have understood it when it came out of the clerk's mouth.
To be honest, I felt a little bit low morale about myself after arriving in Germany. I don't really understand their language and it's really hard to communicate; half of the European female are the same height as me or even taller... I really can't find a way to lighten up.
There was also a supermarket inside the plaza, and I packed some croissants and a bottle of butter milk. I sat outside one of the jewel shop and started chewing. It wasn't hard to notice a glare coming from inside the jewel shop, and it was actually from a female clerk. I pretended to be really focus on my croissants and occassionally I turn my head. And everytime I do that, our eyes meet and she even winked at me once! Wait a second, was she really checking me out? Guess I can stop feeling so small about myself haha, and thanks to you the female clerk from the jewellery store.
Later on I headed toward the Stad Museum, the Frankfurt Cathedral, eventually I came across an
euroshop which everything costs just 1 euro. I bought a spoon for future yogurt digging XD a bottle of energy drink and some hair dye. What a bargain!
Dinner was two long crispy sausages in a bun with spicy mustard and ketchup called the Frankfurter wurstchen. (法蘭克福腸) pretty delicious!
At last I headed back toward easyhotel, took the wrong streets again== guess I will do the exercise first, take a shower and go out for another stroll later at night.
