7/17 Rain

Have I mentioned before that there were so few motorbikes here in Germany? Well, only the big ones. Most people ride bicycle to work or as a transportation, so there are always dozens of bikes leaning against rails or trees by the sidewalk, all with heavy padlocks.

And about 90% of the Deutsch people have got no hair bangs, unlike the hair fashion in Asia, they wear their hair up and show their forehead. I realized that this is the nowadays fashion but it didn't come to me that all of the Europeans have moved on.

I discovered a Woolworth today! My favorite supermarket in Australia. Fresh and fully equipped with really cool automatic recepting system. However the woolworth here reallg disappointed me, it's underground, old and stale, all of the food look like they have been here for ages. And as I looked up from the goods, I found that I was like the only person here that's not over 65years old. Really disappointed.

So I headed to the usual Rewe supermarket instead.

Saturn was Germany's big 3C store, just like Nova in Taiwan, I went in to look for a replacement for my damaged earphones. However, all of the stuff, computers, cellphones and electronics were all the shelves and if you find one to your liking, you just take it to the counter like you were shopping from a suoermarket. No complex procedures, you just take the MacBook from the shelf, file in the line for the cashier and pay the money, that's l very simple.

I visited the local palace today and walked around the zoo, the weather was soothing and it was then that started to rain really heavily. I totally forgot to bring an umbrella with me, so I was trapped in a bus stop nearby.

I took my chance when it turned into a drizzle and made it back to A&O hostel. Dinner was at Mc Donald's just in the train station nearby, for the rain was just too big to go wandering out and look for food.

All of my cellmates left in the morning, Isabella, Paulo and the two bears. I was surely to miss them, well not the bears of course.
A business man moved and a really enthusiastic French guy moved in later in the evening, the man was kind of old and seemed exhausted, we didn't have any real conversations and he dropped to his bed real early.

However, the French guy introduced himself as Charles and kept in talking to me, we quickly got acquainted and we headed for the bar for some drinks. We even joined a dozen of Germany guys next table after a few drinks! And the crowd was like swaying and hugging and singing ans dancing. We retired to our room later and it's really a pleasure meeting you Charles, and good luck to your three-week studying in Germany haha.
Stuttgart tomorrow, looking forward to it!
