Car has to be returned, refueled and cleaned in the
morning before 10 so we got out early and had the chores done. Everything was
settled and the car was returned without any damage but we were given a receipt
with an extra charge of FPO, PAI and other insurance stuff.
We thought we were being cheated or something because we had paid for everything online before renting the car and now they were going to charge us again and so I approached the counter and asked for information.
FPO is that we don’t have to have full gas when we return the car, which meant that the first full tank of gas was already paid by ourselves, we didn’t know that… and there were all kinds of insurances including person’s medical treatment, road rescue and almost everything, that’s why we were being charged an additional amount.
Now that we know, next time we should know what to get and what not to.

We took the free bus 10 from the airport (car
rental) to Santa Clara, visited its downtown and the university, the whole
campus looked great, of course smaller than Stanford, but just like a vacation
center.
Then we decided to take the bus (2 dollars each ride) to the World’s
biggest Flea Market of the world in San Jose.

We stopped at one of the station and walked for almost a whole hour before reaching the Flea Market, it was full of Mexican and Spanish merchandise and you don’t really see any white people inside.
Fruits and clothes are mostly what’s sold in the booth and you don’t really see any second-handed stuff. By the way you have to pay a 3.5 for the admission fee but the experience was very much fun.

Ariel and I decided to go home and rest for a bit, because there isn’t really much to see in downtown San Jose and we have had a lot of walking the whole day.
We bought instant noodles and cooked, ate the strawberries and had some coke.

Tomorrow we would be taking the 12 am Greyhound ride back to Los Angeles to see Claire and Sylvia and together we will rent a car to go to the Grand Canyon and Vegas. The trip has been exciting, satisfying so far but really exhausting. So it would probably be a good idea to just relax here in San Jose, maybe a cup of coffee or two for today and tomorrow.
