7/06 Pier 39

Woke up at around 8 in the morning and headed directly to the Pier 39 for the sea and the sea lions. The dock was already packed with people in restaurants hungry for seafood and several souvenirs. We strolled around for a bit and finally sat down at a table famous for the clam chowder in bread.

Ariel and I shared a bowl of clam chowder and ordered a sea food platter together, for it's such a big piece and not to even mention the satisfaction it provided.

Later on we went to the super cool Lombard Street, it's designed rather coolly and full of different kinds of flowers and of course a number of visitors taking pictures. The traffic in that few blocks were extremely bad but luckily we were not on any of the vehicles.

There was a Chinatown that's just nearby selling a lot of weird toys and robes and several artifacts. Most of them had this sign selling that the items were on sale on the inside but still, the price was quite unreasonable so we didn't get anything.

Union Square was our next stop and we visited, took a little stroll inside the famous Macys and the Cheese Cake Factory that was very famous in the Big Bang Theory was even located on the top floor! However, we didn't get the chance to dine there for we hadn't any reservation.

Afterwards, we went to the dock that's actually serving ferries to other islands. We were quite late that day so we didn't get to get on board one. But we tasted one of the top five ice cream in the USA.

It was very expensive and very sweet, not really to our liking. But still, it's ranked number five ice cream in the States haha.

Dinner was planned to be at Tony's Pizza for it's one of the must-eat restaurant in San Francisco but it's packed for the night. However, one of the waiters told us secretly that the pizza sold at Tony's restaurant is actually the same with the one sold in another Tony's Pizza stand a few blocks away. We dined there and the pizza was pretty good.

Today was actually a quite meaningful and fun day, though most of the spots were very far from one another so the time needed to get from a spot to the next is around or even more than half an hour. And there's also the need to climb down the long hill and up again from Stephen's house. However, I would put that it's been a nice stroll in San Francisco.
