7/07 Strolling in SF

Our last day in SF, for tomorrow we will be heading to Yosemite through a renting car, so we decided to spend our last day around a view natural sights and stroll in the city. First we went to the Twin Peaks which was famous for the bird-eye-view of the whole city, it was a long climb from the bottom of the mountain but neither of us complained.

It was quite foggy and cold with strong wind but we figured that maybe the mist will be dispersed once we reach the peak. It was really a long hard climb and by the time we reached the Twin Peaks, we were sweating and our shoes were extremely dirty with mud.

However, things didn’t go as planned and it was still foggy up in the peak, we were really disappointed but the exercising and hiking had been pretty awesome so we just let the mood past.

Later on we visited the big Golden Park which has the famous Academy of Science, the Botanical Garden, lakes and hills, it was another long stroll that got us close to the nature inside San Francisco. Further on were some tours to Amoeba Music, some record places and Haight Street, which sells nearly everything including furniture, stationery to marijuana. We had two small hamburgers each for lunch, some water at around 3 pm, and continued to hit the road.

We also went back to the two main streets of San Francisco which are Mission and Market, we went inside a few department stores to shop for Hoody because tomorrow we would be going to Yosemite and it’s going to be freezing and both of us are too stupid enough to bring any warm cloth.

Today was a really long walking day, and we walked for around a whole hour from the city center to the ferry to see the view, the weather was already getting better with the bright sun and blue sky, we stood by the ocean simply to enjoy a quiet and breezy San Francisco afternoon and then took the bus to Taco Bell and had a big box meal each (1 burrito and 2 tacos each) for dinner.

Though it was a big box, I wasn’t full, maybe it was because of all the walking, so I bought some instant noodles on our way home. San Francisco has been a lot of fun, nice streets, weird but passionate people, lovely sights but the weather is just too cold or maybe it’s our fault that we didn’t bring any of the coats.
