TED/Jane McGonigal: Massively multi-player… thumb-wrestling?

We've all heard about arm wrestling but how about thumb wrestling? It's totally another thing. It's mainly involved with two people locking their palms together, or fists and tried to wrestle the other person's thumb down by his own. However
this topic of the lecture today is mostly about negotiating rather than the game of thumb wrestling. The lecturer kept saying about how many ways there are, and methods we can use during negotiations, rather than calling on wars and bombing other countries with nuclear weapons.
I must say that I agree with Jane, for there had been too many meaningless wars in the history and so many people had died because of it. When we look back at those fights and killing, have you ever wondered the procedures and measures we could have taken instead of fighting right away, so that all these violence and cruelty could be avoided?
It's always best to think before acting, and never act upon impulse.
