TED/Rose George: Inside the secret shipping industry

To me, shipping industry has always been a mystery, and this has been a wonderful experience for me to get to know it well. Shipping industry is more than laying the cargos on ship and move them from place to place, or country to country. Our family once applied for the surface from Shanghai to Taiwan, it's pretty cheap comparing to flying on plane, but much much slower. Anyway, the goods arrive eventually and everything was fine and well.

Now let's take a look into Mrs. George's lecture, as she tried telling us about its secret. I'm not going to be a spoiler of the whole lecture, however, I don't really find it to be a real secret. In that case, I think it's known to many people, for it isn't in the top confidential drawer of the office isn't it. Anyway, I would still be very grateful for the sharing, for Rose's information can still be characterized as some fun facts.

It's a shame that most people don't use the shipping industry by sea anymore, for they would rather, or prefer choosing to fly on planes. Indeed, time is money isn't it? Hopefully this kind of business won't go into the sunset for it really provided us lot's of convenience and great experiences, once.
