TED/Diana Nyad: Never, ever give up

Have you ever found yourself in a situation filled with despair and the light of hope was so dim and you felt just like giving up?

I‘ve encountered many of those situations and most of the times I felt just like resting for a while and leaving everything behind. However, after taking a break, you get back to reality and deal with the hard facts. So far I had been living smoothly.

Just like Dana mentioned in her lecture, for the past years she had lived, it wasn't easy and she had also met several difficulties. We have pressure of jobs, school, money issues and medical problems. There's also quarrels and fights with the partner, a spouse or the other half.

However, the combination of those problems were really the point of living, for I believe that if we just go smoothly from the day of birth to the moment we face death, and nothing special or difficult ever happen, we would be bored to death. And Miss Nyad brought out this topic and how we should face these obstacles through humorous ways and relaxed attitudes, which I find really useful.

If we can turn these difficulties into opportunities, for example, to use the chance to improve the skill and talent of oneself, rather than complaining and grumbling about it. We might actually learn something, and felt more ease.

The whole point of the lecture is to tell people, the audiences of how to deal with this such situation, or learn to do so. And it isn't carried out in a serious way, instead, a rather funny one.

So I would like to recommend it to many of the dearest around me, and hopefully that the secret of dealing with stress can make a difference in lives.
