TED/David Lang: My underwater robot

We have always wondered when can the human beings achieve fully automatic robots, and make it functional in our daily lives. Scientists are still progressing on the subject, and the results are looking pretty good.

The house keeping robots and all kinds of security, entertaining robots aside, there's this new kind of Underwater robot that was invented recently. By David, who used to be a scientist and live by the dream of inventing something useful to the human race, one day.

So what can the underwater robot do, exactly? It can dive into the deep ocean surface and take pictures, and record video. On the other hand it can collect information of oceanic species which is really good to our study and research of marine environment. But I guess it's going to be a period of time since this kind of robot can be send to every day life and make it purchas-able to all commons.
