TED/Marcus Byrne: The dance of the dung beetle

Dung beetles are a kind of insect with hard patience, just like the ants. Except that they work alone and they are always carrying a ball of poo poo on their backs. Many people may find the sight interesting at first, then start to wonder, what on earth are they doing carrying the smelly thing. Anyhow, people have significant difference as they come in mass, not to mention the animal habits.

Anyway, there was this insect scientist and he found the pattern of how the dung beetles carry the dung was indeed beautiful, and he started to observe them day and night, eventually, he discovered the fact behind these hardworking insects. As for the answer, you must go and check it out on the video, for I ain't going to spoil it for you.

As the video of the dung beetle played out in front of the audiences, most people became curious, and some a bit disgusted, however, the ones that really appreciate this kind of documentary was indeed diligent and hard working in the real life. For they don't just see the beetle and dung moving and rolling on the screen, some was said to see the reflection of himself/herself.

From different view of people, and different social statues, a simple thing can always be enlarged and reflected in many aspects, and we can see and discovered one's actual personality throughout these behaviors. So by showing this video of the dung beetle, it was indeed a small test for the audiences.
