TED/Benjamin Zander: The transformative power of classical music

Less and less people are listening to classical music nowadays, especially the teenagers. Many prefer rock and pop music, no matter in what language to those old, soft and historical rhythms. However, I think many people have been misguided about the classical music, and that it's only for the elders. There were many genres in the categories of classical music, and different types created from various writers and composers.

However, the most important thing of classical music is that it can bring certain effects to the situation depending on its genre. For example, if you're feeling a bit down and sad, it would be best to listen to some classical orchestra; and while you feel heated and excited, some music of Shupert may be good for you; if you're ready for a nap, I would suggest the Beethoven; there are many occasions that classical music can be put into use, and the main reason the author is having this video is to talk about their influences.

Since classical music isn't just music, and a hobby to us anymore, more and more of the companies are putting them into daily routines, like playing it in the offices to boost the efficiency of the workers, and to sooth the mind and spirit of their employees. They even performed a test about how the people being experimented will react during different sessions of classical music, and their efficiency. I think it's great, for many of the classical music are more profound, and meaningful than the pop music and others nowadays. It doesn't say that the hip hop songs are just meaningless, but some of them are rather with less positive effects. As the world rotates, even we may be considering it a modern society and the classical music old fashioned, it's still time for us to lead these music songs into our lives, again.
