TED/Sarah Jones: What does the future hold? 11 characters offer quirky answers

We often wonder much about our future, some hold curiosity, some hold fear, and some embrace it. Different kinds of people have different opinions toward it, and today's TED topic give us the chance to hear it out. Of course, I won't be repeating what these people said on the show, that would make the whole thing boring and coarse,  but I'm hear to share some feelings of my own.

About the future, it's unpredictable and changing every second right here right now. The world we all live in is covered by this kind of phenomenon and none can be excluded, even the polar bears living at the pole. And what's making things change rapidly? It must be the technology if I have to say, for all the inventions are making our world spin much faster than usual, eventually we may reach the state that you go to sleep one night and find the whole surrounding totally different the next morning you wake up!

Well that's a bit exaggerated and very much frightening, nobody wants that to happen at all. If things are going to be better, and more efficient, I guess it would be considered as a benefit to the entire human race, but if everything is going too fast, people may start to worry about their future, about how we're going to fall behind and eventually gave up by the others.

The old people may even be considered as an extra off the earth, and that's just a cruel thing to do, for they have donated their entire youth and adolescence to this planet, but to ignore their existence just because of age, that's ridiculous! To sum the whole thing up, it's frightening about the speed of this future, and how fast it's going, even though it may be the best for our race, however, if we don't keep it down and let the others try to bring up their pace, catch their breath, I think most aren't going to like our future.
