Computers are known to be magnificent, and sometimes invincible to many people, for they can do and accomplish most hard tasks thrown to them. However, have you ever wondered, who built the computers in the first place? Of course, us, the human beings. But what makes it so mysterious is that, although the creators of computers are the humans themselves, what makes the computers so much smarter, and much more efficient than us in real action?
The answer to this question is that we can put in a lot of stuff inside the computer, like knowledge from different people, who specialized in different aspects, into a machine. The computer can be just a blank storage without all these data input, however, it will be like a sponge which absorbs from all the others essences, eventually turning it into a "computer".
As for a lot of calculations done by computers, they may be difficult and hard, but human beings are capable of calculating it, coming out with results, though it could take a lot of time. What humans do to the computers is that they put this kind of routine, and teach the computer the methods, while it performs itself. So we won't have to waste all that time. In the end, even though computers are much smarter than ordinary human beings, especially when the Internet was given birth, they were still objects created by our ancestors, and ourselves. This TED video is here to tell us that we should never underestimate our own abilities and try to use the computers to solve problems instead of ourselves, for we're their creators, and they should give us some credits.
